PDP-1 FPGA implementation: let's play the first video game
Summary
This talk will showcase a project trying to re-create the groundbreaking DEC PDP-1 from 1959 in FPGA and run the first real computer game, SpaceWar! together with other software in its original form. It will try to explain the possibilities of open and reconfigurable hardware, legacies of vintage systems and hacker culture of the times.
