26TH Open Systems Days
Croatian Linux Users’ Conference
FER, Zagreb, Croatia
DevOps engineers are spending a lot of time in the command line. When some service/application on the server crashes, first place where devops engineer will look is a log file that belongs to the already mentioned service/application. Scrolling through log events in the log file via command line can become a big pain in a neck very quickly. This is where solutions like Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana come in very handy. Mentioned technologies are better known as the ELK stack, this label is going to be used in the further text.
On this demo workshop we will go through the following parts:
- ELK stack basics (terminology, how it functions in a nutshell)
- tips and tricks on how to start your basic ELK stack on Docker
Requirements for attendees:
- you can bring your own laptops (optional)
